Return & Exchange Policy

1. Overview

Sudima celebrates handcrafted variation as part of artisan textiles. Minor colour, weave, or finish variations are not defects. Returns and exchanges are accepted only as set out below.

2. Eligibility (what qualifies)

You may request a return or exchange only if any of the following apply:

• The product received is damaged, defective, or materially different from the product description on the Site; or

• We shipped the wrong item.

3. Timeframes for reporting

• Report the issue within 48 hours (2 days) of delivery by emailing surupa@sudima.in; with: order number, photos of the product, and a short unboxing/video if the issue concerns damage.

• After approval, you must return the item within 7 calendar days of receiving the return-approval instructions.

4. Condition for returns

Items must be returned in original condition — unused, with original tags, labels, packaging, and the original invoice.

5. How returns/exchanges are handled

• Damaged / defective / wrong item: On verification, Sudima will either (a) replace the product at no extra cost, or (b) refund the purchase price to the original payment method. We will bear reasonable return shipping costs for items that are damaged, defective, or incorrectly shipped.

• Exchanges: Where stock permits, we will exchange items for the same product/size/colour or for another product of equivalent value. If the exchange item is of higher value, you will be asked to pay the price difference.

• Store credit: Where exchange is not possible, store credit equal to the product value may be issued at Sudima’s discretion. Store credit is non-transferable and cannot be encashed; its validity period will be indicated on issuance.

6. Change of mind / fit issues

We generally do not accept returns for change of mind or minor fit differences. If you contact us within 48 hours of delivery, we may offer an exchange or store credit at our discretion; in such cases, return shipping will be payable by the customer unless otherwise agreed.

7. Non-eligible items

• Items altered or customized by the customer (e.g., cut blouse pieces, stitched fall alterations).

• Items worn, used, washed, or returned without original packaging/tags.

• Minor natural variations in handloom (colour shade differences, slubs) are not eligible for return.

8. Refunds and inspection

Refunds (if applicable) are issued only after we receive and inspect the returned goods. See our Refund Policy for details and timelines.

9. Processing times

• Acknowledgement of return request: within 48 hours of submission.

• Return approval and instructions: within 3 business days of receiving the request.

• Final resolution (refund/credit/exchange) after inspection: within the timelines described in the Refund Policy.
